Ondo 2016: ‎APC reactivates political activities, drums support for aspirant

All Progressives Congress (APC)

The All Progressives Congress (APC) says it has reactivated political activities concerning governorship campaigns primary in the party ahead the forthcoming elections in Ondo State.

Mr. Isaacs Kekemeke, the State Chairman of the party, disclosed this on Tuesday while receiving Information ‎Communication Technology (ICT) equipment donated to the party by Mr. Folusho Adefemi, a governorship aspirant in the party.

Keke‎meke said the party would embark on party primary to choose the candidate that would flag-up its banner, adding that there would be no room for anointed candidate in the forthcoming guber poll in the state.

He noted ‎that there would be a free-level playing ground for all aspirants for the governorship slot of the party with an advice that they should work for the party’s ticket.

‎Kekemke further ‎explained that the APC was ready to take over the control of power from the incumbent government of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Governor Olusegun Mimiko.

“Our platform is now viable and come October, next year, the APC will triumph in the state and dislodge the government of the PDP”, he said. ‎

Adefemi said the gesture was part of his own strategy to build on the change mantra of President Muhammdu Buhari. ‎
